Turkey lies on the Anatolian peninsula, and it’s a Eurasian country, Turkey is bordered by Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Iran. It also shares borders with the Mediterranean Sea and Cyprus. Due to its location, Turkey enjoys a temperate Mediterranean climate with cool and wet winters, and hot dry summers.

Cappadocia

The first one is Cappadocia, an historic place mentioned in the Bible (important in early Christian history), and the cradle of an important civilization. It’s also a geological wonder because it’s said that it was formed by the eruption of 2 volcanoes. 

Pamukkale

The second one is Pamukkale, with a breathtaking beauty; it’s a natural marvel with exquisite limestone landscapes that make this place seem like a cotton castle.

Historical places in Turkey

Turkey is well-known as the birthplace of human civilization, and to honor this name, there are several historical places in Turkey you must visit, especially in Istanbul, and those are: Assos, Ephesus, Gallipoli, Hierapolis, Myra, Sardis, Troy, and more.
