Peru possesses cultural traditions and a diversity of interesting features such as its cuisine, its music, its literature, its people, its climate and its landscapes. According to the history of Spain and Peru, Spanish conquerors arrived in Peruvian lands in 1532 and they altered the cuisine, the religion and the race throughout the country.
Nowadays, Peru and Spain have some comparable cultural aspects such as the catholic religion, the Spanish language and the cuisine. We can mention the delicious “empanadas”; these appetizers have Moorish influence. Another example of the Spanish influence in the Peruvian cuisine is the Escabeche. In addition, the most important Peruvian desserts are the alfajor and the suspiro a la limeña. These Peruvian desserts have Spanish influences as well.

- The Peruvian Rice with chicken. This Peruvian dish is the most popular in the entire country. It has many variations because in the three different regions (coast, jungle and highlands) local people add typical ingredients of their region.
- Ceviche. This popular seafood is made from raw fish marinated with lemon juice and chilli peppers. There are a large number of Peruvian restaurants that are offering ceviche as the principal dish in the Menu.
- Papa a la Huancaína. Papa a la Huancaína comes from Huancayo City. However, the dish is a favorite meal around the nation.
- Causa Rellena. Mashed potatoes, tuna-fish, condiments and cilantro are the principal ingredients to prepare a good Causa Rellena.
