Mexico, an incredible country, full of beautiful landscapes and terrific historic places is located in North America between the United States and Guatemala and Belize and surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea which increase the diversity of the zone, creating different landscapes and a big diversity of climate, and species.
Reasons to visit Mexico
Latin America’s major tourist destination, it receives many visitors, most of those coming from the United States and Canada, followed by some European and Asian visitors and very few from other Latin American Countries.
There are so many reasons to visit this country, thanks to the diversity of its geography; it has incredible different kinds of attractions such as unspoiled natural reserves, striking beaches, breathtaking ancient sites, beautiful colonial architecture, rich colorful festivities and traditions.
The major attractions of Mexico
The major attractions of Mexico are:
- Teotihuacán was built by The Aztecs in Mexico city, with its famous huge pyramids, The Pyramid of the Sun, the largest pyramid in Mexico; the Pyramid of the Moon. The city architecture is very different from the ancient Inca city Machu Picchu – Peru.
- Chichen Itza is the Maya’s largest city in the Yucatan Peninsula, very famous for the temple-pyramid of El Castillo designed with astronomical purposes and the Great Ballcourt and El Caracol, a circular temple used as an astronomical observatory.
- Palenque, an archaeological site located in the state of Chiapas, has most of the Maya’s finest architecture and sculptures like the Temple of Inscriptions, the only Mesoamerican pyramid built as a funeral monument.
- Beautiful Beaches, Tulum (a tropical beach with golden sandy coast and turquoise clear water) Cozumel (a terrific beach with the most fantastic coral reef and great fish diversity, the right place for water sports such as for scuba diving and snorkeling) both located in Yucatan Peninsula. - Los Cabos, located in the southern of Baja California peninsula with white sandy beaches, many sophisticated resorts, restaurants, bars, discotheques and water sports.
- Guadalajara, a great Mexican city full of colorful traditions and Mexican symbols such as Tequila, Mariachi, Mexican cowboys. Famous for its Architecture, a mixture of modern and western European Architecture, Cancun and Acapulco, museums and art galleries.
- Mexican Celebrations such as the Day of the Dead are celebrated with enthusiasm by people from Oaxaca.
- Mexican cuisine, full of spicy flavors and colorful ingredients, the most famous dishes are: Tacos, mole, chiles rellenos, quesillo, tlayudas, burritos and Tamales.
