Malibu has many of the most beautiful beaches in the United States with diverse landscapes, activities, and many attractions, that is why most celebrities prefer to come to Malibu to relax and enjoy a beautiful summer day.
The most famous beaches in Malibu
Along its 21 miles of coastline, it has both kinds of beaches: sandy beaches great for sunbathing, relaxing and playing volleyball and rocky beaches that are great for diving and surfing. And of course there are plenty of hotels where you can stay at an affordable price. The most famous and beautiful beaches are:
- Malibu lagoon State Beach, located in the western part of Malibu Pier. Here we can find a National Historic site, The Adamson House or Malibu Lagoon Museum.
- Topanga State Beach, located in the cliffs and canyons of the Santa Monica Mountains, Topanga State Park. It is excellent for hiking and mountain biking.
- Point Dume State Beach, located at the end of Westward Beach Road. It is the perfect place for swimming, surfing, scuba diving, and fishing and also in December a great spot to watch whales’ immigration.
- Dan Blocker Beach, located at 26000 Pacific Coast Highway
- Surfrider Beach, located along the 23050 Pacific Coast Highway.
- Zuma Beach, located along the 30000 Pacific Coast Highway.
The old part of Malibu
The beautiful old part of Malibu, best known as Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach, located between Leo Carrillo and Point Dume State Beaches, these beaches are also called “pocket beaches” because they are very small. There we can find pristine beaches such as:

- El Matador
- La Piedra
