Kenya, the expression in Swahili

Karibuni Kenya is the expression in Swahili used to welcome visitors to Kenya. It means “Welcome to Kenya.” This beautiful country offers a variety of natural attractions such as beaches, nature parks, nature reserves, tribal cultures, among others.

Similarly, these Kenyan parks and reserves offer a unique experience to visitors, giving them the chance to go on wildlife safaris, gorilla treks, mountain climbing, white water rafting, or scuba diving. Kenya is the perfect destination for adventurous people who love nature because 7.6% of its territory is nature parks and reserves.

Kenyan parks and reserves

The Masai Mara National Park

The first thing that any traveler should do is to visit the Masai Mara National Park. This paradise is a continuation of Serengeti, and it is famous worldwide because an entire wildebeest population migrates from a natural park to another. Of course, a safari in Kenya and, especially in this park, is not complete without seeing animals from the area like lions, hyenas, and some endangered species like the black rhinoceros or hippopotamus, and all of them can be found in the Mara River. Also, Masai Mara offers travelers a spectacular view of crocodiles, cheetahs, gazelles and herds of giraffes and zebras.

The Samburu National Reserve

Another good choice is the Samburu National Reserve. This name comes from the native people who still live in the area. The Samburu are very friendly people who share all their traditions and customs with any tourist and visitor. Similarly, the Samburu women are known for offering their ancestral types of massages to anyone who visits them to relax and rest. Also, this reserve along with Buffalo Spring, Laikpia and Shaba National Reserve, form one of the big nature systems in Africa with many springs and a variety of flora and fauna.

Nakuru Lake National Park

Nakuru Lake National Park is another place to visit. With Nakuru Lake as its principal attraction, this nature park offers visitors a variety of aquatic wildlife like pelicans and flamingos. Nakuru is the smallest nature park in Kenya; however, this characteristic is an advantage because travelers can find more animal species in less time like lions, giraffes, hyenas, and cheetah. Similarly, like India , Kenya has nice weather, and this is important because products like vegetables and fruits are abundant in the area. Therefore, travelers can eat the typical dishes from the region, but be careful; some monkeys can steal your food and meals.

In conclusion, these were some examples of the variety of wildlife that Kenya has in its nature parks and reserves. Travelers can visit this beautiful country all year long because the weather here is very nice almost all year. Besides, nature lovers will be surprised with the charms that Kenya has prepared for them.
