Visiting Italy

Italy is a boot-shaped country that is located in southern Europe. Considered as one of the most beautiful and amazing countries in the world, Italy offers travelers a wide variety of interesting things to do. Besides that, some of the most important monuments such as the leaning tower of Pisa, the Roman Coliseum, the Pantheon, Michelangelo’s David and of course the Fontana di Trevi, are placed in Italy. But Italy is not only known for its monuments. There are also beautiful beaches, mountains, forests and hills, which cover most of the country.

Italian food

Another important Italian feature is definitely its food. Italian food is known worldwide by the variety of recipes and by its great combination of exotic ingredients. Pasta is undoubtedly an important, if not the most important, ingredient in Italian dishes, this, along with meat and sausages make Italian cuisine one of the best.

The Italian language

As we said earlier, there are many reasons why people prefer to visit Italy instead of other countries, so, if you are determined to visit Italy, you must keep in mind some important things. For example: money, time and of course the language. Learning the Italian language is always a good idea before visiting Italy because it will be very useful at the moment to communicate with locals. 

Italian vocabulary

Like other languages, learning Italian requires a great effort and time, but unlike many people, learning Italian is not difficult, and learning it will be easier if you speak Spanish, French or Portuguese, because all of these belong to the same language family. It is important to know at least some words of Italian vocabulary, such as “ciao”, “aiutare”,“ grazie”, “perdono “ and”scusa “, because it will help us to make friends. Some important Italian phrases are:

• Arrivederci: Good Bye.
• Buon giorno: good morning.
• Buona sera: good afternoon.
• Sto bene: I feel good.
• Parla inglese?: do you Speak English?
• Quanto costa?: How much is it?
• Per favore: Please

Like these phrases, there are many others that it is necessary to learn. During your stay you will improve your vocabulary and of course your pronunciation. If we add that you can enroll in a language school, you will speak Italian in a short time. There are also many people who choose to learn Italian online; although this is not the best way to learn it, it will be also useful. Once you have learned to speak Italian, your stay will be more comfortable and you will be able to work even in writing different types of cover letters in Italian. Of course, it is only an example.
