Germanic languages have a geographic distribution that includes northern, western and central Europe, Anglo-America, Oceania and southern Africa, in which the most spoken Languages are English and German. All the Germanic languages (English, Dutch, the Scandinavian, Latin, Greek, and the Slavic languages) are thought to descend from a previous language (Proto-Germanic) developed in Northern Europe in 50 BC.

According to the history of Germany, the early Germanic tribes established in the area now known as the Netherlands; and over the time they started to expand to other territories, they also shared their language and in some cases incorporated new characteristics from different local cultures.

Then, any of the languages were German and during the Common Era the initial language adopted more variations in pronunciation and vocabulary, which produced the association of people in four languages: English, German, Gothic, Netherlandic.
