In this article we are going to talk about the relationship between “Architecture and Tourism“. Governments always try to show the most outstanding things about their countries, in order to attract more tourists. In current days, they use recent technology like the internet to promote touristic places.  Usually, the most popular tourist places in the country are the ancient architectural remains.

Architecture styles

Architecture is the design and construction of buildings. There are many styles and tendencies; these styles have changed over the years: modern constructions do not recreate the same style and do not use the same materials as the ancient ones.

French architecture

Architectural places tend to become touristic destinations. France is the country that receives the most tourists per year. Some of the most popular touristic places in French are: the Eiffel Tower, French Alps, Thorens Glières’ Castle, the castles of the Loire Valley, Brittany and Normandy, Notre Dame Church, Centre Georges Pompidou, the Triumphal Arch, the Louvre Museum, etc and  a good number of them are examples of French architecture. It has many styles that have changed over time. Some of the most important are: French provincial, French Normandy, Second Empire, Beaux Arts and Creole.

Thai architecture

Probably, the Best of Thailand is its architecture and its food. Thai architecture has also a big demand among tourists. Most Thai constructions have religious purposes and were made with wood and stone. They’ve also received the biggest influence from Indian, Buddhist and Chinese cultures.

Job opportunities for architects

Due to the amazing growth of cities there are many job opportunities for architects because people need new places to live, to work or just to relax. Job search does not have to be a nightmare: construction companies are constantly hiring new people to work for them. As in many careers, job experience is an important issue to address; so the more jobs you have, the faster you will find a job where they’ll pay you well.

There is one more thing to consider, companies prefer architects who can adapt their personal styles to the company’s requirements and ideas.
