The origin of Bengali language
The origin of Bengali language was in eastern Indo-Aryan. Is the official language of Bangladesh and India. Bangladesh is located in south Asia and we can locate it on any Asia map. Most of the people of Bangladesh speak this language.
Also, Bengali is official in West Bengal and Tripura which are located in India. In 1778, Charles Wilkins showed up the first Bengali alphabet which is used now. After, in the 19th century a couple of letters were upgraded. Bengali language is considered as one of the most spoken languages around the world. Actually, there are approximately 230 million speakers scattered throughout the world.
Standard styles
Bengali language is divided in two standard styles: the “Sadhu Bhasa” or genteel speech and the “Chaltibhasa” which is the current language. There are not many differences between these styles; however these differences are related to verb conjugations and pronouns.
Kolkata dialects were the base of Chaltibhasa. They started to be interested in literature in the 20th century. Then, in the 21st century it became the predominant literary language. At the same time it was part of the colloquial speech. While in Chaltibhasa the verb forms and pronouns are contracted than in Sadhubhasa. Also, the vocabulary has a notable difference.
Bengali language is associated with social class and religion. The four main dialects of the ancient political division of the Bengali speaking world are known as Radha, Pundra, or Varendra, Kamrupa and Bangla.
