The region of Romance languages
Latin America is considered the region of Romance languages particularly Spanish and Portuguese, and French. Most of the Latin people came from different ancestries, ethnic groups, and races. Most of the countries are a mixture of Amerindians, Mestizos, Whites, Mulattos, Blacks and Asians and the ethnic distribution depends on each country. This region is considered the most diverse in the world.
Latin America is a terrific place full of amazing and striking landscapes and an incredible biodiversity; it contains many of the major ancient civilizations such as the Aztecs, the Mayas and the Incas which left two of the New Seven Wonders of the World, the Chichen Itza – Mexico and Machu Picchu – Peru.
Mexico, the most populous spanish-speaking country
The most visited Latin America’s country is Mexico, the most populous Spanish-speaking country. Mexico has many reasons for receiving more than twenty million people annually; Mexico is a beautiful country with many terrific attractions such as ancient sites, unspoiled natural reserves, striking beaches, picturesque streets, colonial architecture, tasty and spicy meals and incredible festivities and traditions.
The most touristic Mexico’s cities are:
- Mexico City, the nation’s capital with many museums, art galleries, Aztec Ruins, colonial Architecture and exciting nightlife.
- Xochimilco is part of the Mexican Federal District, famous for its canals and its artificial islands called chinampas, tourists ride on in colorful boats called “trajineras”. It is one World Heritage Site.
- Guadalajara, the capital of Jalisco, a well- known city because of the tequila and the Mariachis with an all year round spring weather.
- Monterrey, a very modern city full of new architecture, is the commercial and industrial center of Mexico.
- Cancun, a city famous because of its striking beaches and its turquoise clear Caribbean waters, its climate generates an accurate party atmosphere, having one of the liveliest nights in Mexico.
- Tijuana is the northwest boundary of the United States; it is one of the busiest borders in Mexico. Tijuana Travel.
- Acapulco, well known for its beautiful beaches, resorts, cruises and its fabulous nightlife.
- Taxco, a very peaceful place between mountains, once the major silver producer and elegant jewelry.
- Oaxaca, famous for the traditional custom of the Day of the Dead.
- Mazatlan – Lively Pacific coast town, it is popular because of the beach resorts and a variety of affordable lodging options.
